Egypt, U.S. Chevron sign MoU to share experience for low carbon projects

Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum has signed a MoU on Monday with U.S. Chevron company to cooperate in capacity-building and share best practices for low carbon projects, including those related to methane emissions management.

Tarek El-Molla, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum has witnessed the signing ceremony, as the MoU signed by Clay Neff, President of Chevron International Exploration and Production with Kristian Svendsen, Chevron Manager in Egypt.

According to Amwal Al Ghad, the agreement came during Egypt Petroleum Show EGYPS 2023, under the patronage of President Abdel fattah al-Sisi, taking place at Egypt International Exhibitions Centre (EEC) from February 13 to 15.

Chevron (NYSE:CVX) is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world. The company has a market capitalisation of more than $300 billion, with an almost 3.5 percent dividend yield.
