Chairman of Egypt’s General Authority for Healthcare (GAH), Ahmed El-Sobky, just confirmed that the country will soon introduce the first national electronic platform for medical tourism, according to Amwal Al Ghad’s website.
On Wednesday, El-Sobky stated: The medical tourism market is estimated at over $115 billion annually, with an annual growth rate of more than 12.5%, expected to reach over $346 billion annually by 2030.
He further stressed that Egypt has all the necessary components to become the center for medical tourism in Africa and the Middle East, boosting national resources and fostering rapid economic development.
