Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population reviews the progress of the electronic platform for health tourism that will be launched during the coming period.
He received representatives of the company implementing the electronic platform for health tourism at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the meeting was in response to the President’s directives to speed up work and launch the e-platform for health tourism. It also aimed to highlight the Egyptian state’s capabilities in this framework, which encourages attracting those seeking health and medical tourism to Egypt, making it a primary destination on the global medical tourism map as one of the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
During the meeting, the Minister was updated with a detailed presentation of the services that the platform will provide, including artificial intelligence technology that will deliver recommendations to platform users and some advanced features that put Egypt at the epicenter of leading countries in health tourism, in addition to offering services to communicate with users of the multilingual platform, thereby offering a customized and distinctive experience for visitors.
Furthermore, the Ministry’s spokesperson stated that the platform will provide booking services to allow patients to search for healthcare providers, specialists, and various medical centers based on their needs. It will also offer detailed information about hospitals and treatment services and educate patients about the tourist attractions available near the location where they receive medical services.
The platform provides telemedicine services, including virtual consultations to connect patients with healthcare providers, follow-up services to patients after returning to their countries, and multilingual customer service to answer all patient inquiries.
