Egypt Increases its Aid Deliveries to Gaza to 300 Trucks per day

The State Information Service of Egypt has made an official announcement regarding their plan to increase the number of aid trucks dispatched to Gaza daily, from the current number to over 300. Diaa Rashwan, the head of the State Information Service, has reported that in recent days of the holy month of Ramadan, a total of 322 aid trucks have made their way from Egypt into northern Gaza.

He Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive, 19,354 trucks carrying aid have passed through the Rafah crossing into the sector.

During his statement, Rashwan highlighted the role of Egypt in providing medical assistance to Palestine. He informed that a significant number of injured and ill Palestinians, totaling 3,764, along with their 6,191 companions, have been granted admission to Egyptian medical facilities for treatment.

Furthermore, the country has enabled the passage of 66,759 foreign nationals and dual citizens, along with 6,330 Egyptians, through the Rafah border.

During his recent speech, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, which has reached the brink of famine.

“He called for an urgent international collaboration to speed up the delivery of relief aid to all regions of Gaza. President El-Sisi’s appeal highlights the critical requirement for global efforts to address the humanitarian crisis and provide assistance to the Palestinian people during this difficult period.”
