CAIRO — June 29, 2026
The eleventh edition of Egypt for the Best Summit 2026 honored three of Egypt’s most distinguished female leaders with the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing their exceptional careers and enduring contributions to public service and national development. The awards were presented during the summit, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and the Central Bank of Egypt.
The ceremony featured Dr. Hala Elsaid, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Economic Affairs; Dr. Ghada Waly, former Minister of Social Solidarity and former United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC); and Dina Abdel Fattah, Editor-in-Chief of Amwal Al Ghad Magazine and Secretary-General of Egypt for the Best Summit. They emphasized that the award recognizes women whose influence extends far beyond the positions they have held, making them enduring role models for future generations.
The summit presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Ambassador Faiza Abou El Naga, Advisor to the President of the Republic for National Security Affairs, in recognition of her distinguished diplomatic career, her longstanding service to Egypt, and her contributions to strategic national issues, establishing her as one of the country’s most influential women in diplomacy and national security.
The summit also honored Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, for her outstanding contributions to women’s empowerment and social protection policies in Egypt. Before assuming her ministerial role, she led the National Council for Women, where she played a pivotal role in advancing women’s rights and strengthening their participation in sustainable development, making her one of Egypt’s leading advocates for empowerment and inclusive development.
Also receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award was Nevine El Tahri, Member of the Economic Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives and Founder and Chairperson of Shield Investment, in recognition of her distinguished career in banking and investment, her contributions to developing Egypt’s venture capital ecosystem, and her role in promoting entrepreneurship and economic policymaking.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is among the highest honors presented by Egypt for the Best Summit. It recognizes exceptional individuals whose lifelong achievements have made a lasting impact on Egypt’s development while exemplifying leadership, excellence, and public service, reflecting the increasingly prominent role of Egyptian women in decision-making and national leadership.
Since its launch in 2016, Egypt for the Best Summit has established itself as one of Egypt’s leading economic platforms, showcasing national success stories, fostering dialogue between the government and the private sector, and supporting the country’s efforts to build a more competitive and sustainable economy.
The summit’s annual rankings and awards are based on independent scientific studies and analytical assessments conducted in cooperation with investment banks and economic research and analysis centers. Evaluation criteria include financial performance, operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility, helping strengthen the global competitiveness of Egyptian institutions.
