The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has lifted the withdrawal limit for individuals and companies. This new resolution, issued today, applies to withdrawals and deposits made through bank branches or ATMs.
The previous withdrawal limit measure was implemented in March 2020 as a preventive measure to cope with the effects of the coronavirus crisis.
The bank increased the daily withdrawal limit for individuals and companies from EGP 50,000 to EGP 150,000 and kept the cap on ATMs at EGP 20,000 per day.
