The Beirut International Women’s Film Festival opened yesterday evening and presented an honorary award to the Egyptian star Yousra in recognition of her long artistic career in cinema and television.
After receiving the award, Yousra expressed her gratitude and appreciation, saying that this honor was more than she expected and contained all her life’s memories, successes, and failures. She thanked the Lebanese people for their generosity, unconditional love, and strength, stating that their love was something she had not felt in a long time.
Ziad Al-Makari, the Lebanese Minister of Information, described Yousra as a distinguished artist, brilliant performer, beloved individual, professional investor in people’s love, and an inspiration to Arab women. Despite all her beautiful qualities, he noted that she remained humble.
Festival founder Sam Lahoud added that Yousra’s long and professional career allowed her to make the right choices, maintain a good image, and set an example for younger generations.
