Celebrating women during their month of March, Egypt’s Cairo Opera House, headed by Dr. Khaled Dagher, is organizing an exhibition titled “Tales & Girls” (Hekayat Banat) by Azza Ismail, at 6:30 pm today, Thursday, March 16, at Ziyad Bakir Hall, and will continue until Tuesday, March 21.
The exhibition includes paintings that express everything related to women of all ages and details about their life. Each painting reflects a special situation that women encounter and deal with on a daily basis.
Notably, Artist Azza Ismail Mohamed graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, and obtained additional bachelor’s degrees through free studies from the Faculties of Applied Arts and Fine Arts.
Moreover, as a member of the National Society for Arts, she held many solo exhibitions, participated in many group exhibitions and forums, and illustrated many children’s books as well.
International Women’s Day is a global occasion celebrated annually on March 8. It aims to honor women and promote general respect, appreciation, and love for women for their economic, political, and social achievements; in some countries such as China, Russia, and Cuba, women even take the day off.
