Alexandria’s Health Directorate Ends 13th Edition of Qualifying Health Leaders at Women’s Hospital

Directorate of Health Affairs in Alexandria announced in a symposium the completion of the “Rehabilitation of Leaders” course, under the auspices of Dr. Amira Tahio, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria, and the supervision of Dr. Mervat El-Sayed, Undersecretary of the Health Directorate in Alexandria, as a continuation of the leadership qualification courses in the Health Affairs Directorate in the governorate.

The symposium was attended by a number of members of the health culture teams in all medical areas, in addition to members and officials from various sectors.

Activities of the thirteenth session of the management basics course held last week have come to an end at Al-Awadi Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology, affiliated with the Health Directorate, in coordination with Dr. Amal El-Shabrawy, director of the hospital, which aims to train hospital managers and heads of technical and administrative departments.

For her part, Dr. Mervat El-Sayed, the deputy director of the directorate, stated that on the sidelines of the course’s activities, the first edition of the guide was prepared to guide most of the financial laws and regulations of the Health Directorate in Alexandria.

Moreover, the Health Directorate established the governance of Al-Awadi Hospital’s warehouses and presented the most prominent achievements of the team, including resource governance, supply chain management, and logistics management, which has been working since November 14, 2022, and finished its work in all hospital warehouses.

Dr. Walaa Abbas and Rania Halim, members of the governance team in the directorate, conducted the presentation after the implementation of digital transformation in the Health Directorate in Alexandria.

El-Sayed added that the fourteenth session of management basics courses starts at Ophthalmology Hospital and lasts for six days.

On the other hand, Dr. Maha Hasib, Director of the Health Culture Department at the Directorate of Health Affairs in Alexandria, urged the necessity to conduct premarital examinations, through a public meeting at the Nile Center for Media, in cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, with the participation of representatives of government institutions and civil society, and in the presence of the First Undersecretary of the Ministry.
