Alexandria Governor: We Intensify Preventive Efforts to Combat Violence Against Women and Children

Major General Muhammad al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, affirmed that the childhood file is one of the highest priority files that the governorate is working on to provide an integrated system to protect children and solve their problems in light of the state’s direction towards providing full support and care for children at risk.

In this regard, the Sub-Committee for Child Protection in the Burj Al-Arab Center and City, headed by Major General Taha Zuhair, Head of the Burj Al-Arab Center and City and Chairman of the Sub-Committee for Child Protection, held a meeting in the presence of the Committee members to address and discuss cases of children at risk transferred from the Child Helpline and cases of charities to present the most prominent achievements Unity and emphasizing the continuation of holding positive education seminars for parents, “An academic year without violence or dropping out”.

In the same context, the Sub-Committee for Child Protection in Al-Montazah District first, headed by Major General Muhammad Abdullah Sahloul, Head of Al-Montazah District First, and the head of the committee, held a meeting with members of the sub-unit and representatives of the concerned departments and partner associations from civil society to present the unit’s activities and follow-up on possible children’s cases.
