Ahl Masr Burns Hospital has announced the renewal of its partnership with the Commercial International Bank Foundation (CIB Foundation) to fund treatment for 403 burn patients across its inpatient and outpatient departments. The renewed collaboration reinforces a growing alliance that began in 2022 and has since expanded the hospital’s capacity to provide advanced, specialized care for severe burn cases.
The ongoing partnership previously enabled the establishment of a dedicated pediatric intensive care unit for burn patients—an addition that significantly strengthened the hospital’s ability to manage critical cases and deliver life-saving medical services.
A Commitment to Public Health and Community Support
The CIB Foundation emphasized that the initiative is aligned with its long-term social responsibility strategy, which prioritizes investment in healthcare programs aimed at improving patients’ quality of life. Supporting burn victims, the foundation noted, not only reduces the financial strain on families but also contributes to building a more resilient healthcare ecosystem.
“We believe that investing in children’s health is an investment in a safer and more equitable future for society,” said Amr El-Ganainy, Deputy CEO & Executive Board Member of CIB and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the CIB Foundation. “Renewing our collaboration with Ahl Masr Hospital reflects our commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and backing leading medical institutions specialized in burn treatment. We are proud to be part of this humanitarian journey that brings hope and transforms the lives of hundreds of families.”
A Model of Private-Sector Engagement
Dr. Heba El-Sewedy, Founder and Chairwoman of Ahl Masr Foundation and Ahl Masr Burns Hospital, praised the CIB Foundation for its continued support, describing the partnership as a model for effective collaboration between civil society and the private sector.
She highlighted that the sustained engagement demonstrates genuine belief in the importance of strategic health investments—investments that not only provide essential treatment but also restore hope for patients suffering from the physical and psychological consequences of burns.
“These initiatives serve as a lifeline for thousands of cases who face the long-term impacts of burn injuries,” El-Sewedy said, adding that private-sector involvement is vital in ensuring that hospitals can deliver advanced care to those who need it most.
