The second phase of the development of the tourist walkway in Port Said, located in the city’s eastern district, has been completed. This vital area holds significant cultural, geographical, and strategic value due to its unique location. The walkway now  features a distinctive architectural style.

The “Salah Egypt Square” has transformed into a major tourist attraction, drawing thousands of visitors from various regions and countries due to its scenic view of the port. It has become a popular spot for photography, especially for couples who choose the location for pre-wedding photo shoots, with many young men and women coming here in their wedding attire to capture timeless memories.

At the heart of Salah Egypt Square stands the “Egypt, Mother of the World” statue, a symbol of Egypt’s historical legacy, particularly highlighting the efforts of the Egyptians in the construction of the Suez Canal. The square also features the “History Garden,” which includes a variety of restaurants and cafés, enhancing Port Said’s historical appeal while promoting the region as a prime tourist destination. This development beautifully combines the area’s cultural heritage with its potential as a tourist hub.

The square has also become a popular venue for young people, especially on weekends and public holidays, with many taking part in activities like skateboarding, turning into both a recreational and tourist attraction.

This part of the project, located on the western bank of the canal, includes decorative seating and lush green spaces, adding to the visual appeal of the area and further enhancing its tourism potential.
