eHealth Secures Contract to Power Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance

The Egyptian Cabinet has approved a two-year contract between the Universal Health Insurance Authority (UHIA) and eHealth. The agreement aims to manage and operate the UHIA’s comprehensive health insurance electronic services and digital services across the country.

This strategic partnership is expected to accelerate the rollout of Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance program, supporting its projects and ensuring operational sustainability.

Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman and Managing Director of e-finance, emphasized the significant progress made by the UHIA in digital transformation, particularly in collaboration with eHealth. The goal is to provide comprehensive health insurance coverage to all citizens through a technologically advanced and well-governed system.
