Mastercard is proud to announce the highly anticipated return of the Women SME Leaders Awards for its third edition. These prestigious awards are designed to exclusively recognize the remarkable achievements of women-owned and led businesses across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA).
Nominations for the awards are now open to women-owned and operated SMEs with a workforce of six to 50 employees and a turnover of less than US$13.6 million (AED50 million). Women executives or business owners who have their headquarters or offices in EEMEA or offer services to these markets can submit their nominations by 20 May 2024.
The awards winners will be announced on 6 June 2024 during an in-person event in Dubai. This event emphasizes Mastercard’s commitment to fostering connections and collaboration among women business leaders in the region.
The awards are set to feature 15 categories, ranging from creative leadership to social impact and lifetime achievement. Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated by an esteemed judging committee of industry leaders dedicated to recognizing excellence and innovation in women-owned and led businesses.
Since their launch in 2022, these awards have been a beacon of support for female entrepreneurs and business leaders. They serve as a powerful platform to honor and elevate women who are not just leading but also shaping the future of business in the region. This year’s event, building upon the success of previous editions, promises to extend its reach and recognition to even more exceptional women leaders, inspiring the entire business community.
Aligned with Mastercard’s global initiative, these awards are a testament to the company’s unwavering dedication to connecting 25 million women entrepreneurs to the digital economy by 2025. By participating in these awards, you are not just competing locally, but also contributing to a global movement towards a more inclusive and diverse business landscape.
This initiative underscores Mastercard’s commitment to building a more sustainable and inclusive world.
Notably, Mastercard achieved this global goal last year, two years ahead of the target date.
Last year, the Women SME Leaders Awards garnered an impressive 4,500 nominations across EEMEA.
This year, the event is set to make an even greater impact, amplifying the voices and accomplishments of women business leaders. The stage is set for another year of celebrating and recognizing the outstanding contributions of women in business. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your achievements and join a community of inspiring women leaders.
