Among the notable figures included in this year’s list is Palestinian journalist Motaz Aziza.
The world-renowned magazine Times introduced Motaz Aziza, a Palestinian journalist who is widely recognized as a reliable source of information on Gaza. Known for his bravery, he carries a camera marked with a press insignia and wears a bulletproof vest to protect himself while reporting from the region.
The photographer, a 25-year-old Palestinian, dedicated almost four months to capturing the realities of life under Israeli bombardment. The result was a poignant documentation of the displacement of families from their homes, the emotional trauma of women who have lost loved ones, and the desperation of a man trapped under rubble.
The speaker mentioned that Aziza had offered a brief insight into the Gaza Strip. A handful of international journalists, who were barred from entering the area, were able to cover the event, albeit at considerable risk.
