European Union Ambassador Christian Berger recently met with the beneficiaries of the “Empowering Women Fish Retailers” program in the Sharqia Governorate.
The meeting was an opportunity for the EU Ambassador to hear feedback from the program’s beneficiaries and discuss ways in which the EU can continue to support and empower women in the region.
This program, funded by the European Union, aimed to support women in the region in achieving their business development goals.
The initiative provided them with opportunities for training, funding, and integration into the traders’ market to empower women to become successful entrepreneurs in the fishing industry.
The program was designed to give women the skills and resources necessary to start their own businesses, increase their income, and support their families.
