In a recent announcement, the Cabinet revealed that the state administrative apparatus will operate on adjusted working hours during the holy month of Ramadan. Starting from 9 am and concluding at 2 pm, this modified schedule aims to accommodate the observance of Ramadan’s spiritual practices.
The Islamic holy month is set to commence on March 11 in Egypt and will span across a period of 30 days, as confirmed by the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).
Furthermore, the Cabinet, in a separate declaration made on Tuesday, outlined that various establishments, including shops, malls, restaurants, cafes, and bazaars, will adhere to a closing time of 2 am throughout Ramadan, as well as during the three-day celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.
These measures, implemented by the Egyptian government, seek to uphold the cultural and religious significance of Ramadan while ensuring a harmonious balance between societal routines and observance of the holy month’s traditions.
