Next Wednesday will witness the beginning of the Jewelry Art Festival’s fifth edition, which takes place at the Gezira and Arts Center in Zamalek, Cairo. The event takes place from January 3–17.
The festival is organized by Walid Qanoush, Head of the Ministry of Culture’s Fine Arts Sector, and will take place under the ministry’s authority.
Participating in the festival were about 68 jewelry designers and artists from all over Egypt, representing all backgrounds and skill levels students, professionals, and amateurs.
The festival provides a significant platform for public and designer interaction.
Physician Abdel-Al, the festival is a great way to find new designers and artists, according to Mohamed Abdel-Al, general coordinator of the event and professor of jewelry design at the Faculty of Applied Arts. The festival draws students from various applied arts faculties across the nation because it encourages participation from all creative people in jewelry design.
The festival also allows the use of various materials, and each artist is permitted to submit up to six pieces, either separately or in sets. The festival offers a chance to recognize jewelry designers and artists as well.
