Minister Nevine El Kilany spoke about the seventh session of the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival, noting that the ministry sponsors the festival and provides it with logistical and material support.
She expressed her joy at honoring Egyptian Superstar Nabila Ebeid, who was recently honored for her entire life work as part of the festival’s activities, saying: Nabila Ebeid is a valuable asset in the history of Egyptian cinema and a wonderful role model with every meaning of the word, and she presented many issues related to women in her artistic works; she deserves to be honored at this special event.
Kilany explained: The festival is interested in women’s films and women filmmakers. It has an important role in conducting training workshops for girls in Aswan, while the workshops produced films presented by young women from Aswan as a form of support for Aswani girls and community development for Aswan women.
