Egyptian Student Advocates Early Marriage and Other Women’s issues Through her Paintings
Rawan Zidan, a student at the Faculty of Specific Education at Alexandria University, decided to advocate violence against women using her paintbrushes, colorful strokes, and impressive illustrations represented in her paintings.
She participates in creative forums and awareness convoys with her influential and impressive paintings in the villages associated with the “Decent Life” presidential initiative.
Zidan talked about her latest participation in the creativity forum for students of the faculties of specific education at the state level held at Fayoum University.
The painting represents the marriage of minors; it portrays a child wearing a wedding dress with a motor on her back, which expresses that she is being manipulated and treated inhumanly, like a toy that everyone controls with no regard for her feelings.
The artist shared that she started oil painting a year ago and is constantly trying to develop her talent. She added that the Creativity Forum plays a significant role in exchanging experiences between students and professors from various universities.
She pointed out that she had previously participated in an art painting on violence against children and won first place in a competition at the Alexandria governorate level, emphasizing that she always likes to choose different themes and ideas.
President of Fayoum University, Dr. Yasser Magdy Hatata, moderated the closing ceremony of the 4th creativity forum for faculties of specific education across Egyptian universities, organized by Fayoum University on February 9 at the Grand Ballroom.
