Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Osama Rabie said that 107 ships crossed the waterway in the two directions Monday, carrying a total cargo of 6.3 M tons, representing the highest daily record in the history of the international waterway.
In a statement today, Rabie added that the south-bound convoy included 56 vessels carrying 3.4 M tons, while the north-bound one included 51 ships with cargo weighing 2.9 M tons.
