Yassin Art Gallery will host a group exhibition entitled “City Art” on Tuesday evening, May 2, at 6 pm at the gallery’s headquarters in Zamalek, Cairo.
The exhibition includes watercolor artists Yasser Geissa, Nada Hafez, Heba Nabih, Fatima Hassan, Rania Zakaria, Marwa Tawfiq, and Hind Hegazy.
Artist Yasser Geissa says that aquarelle painting is a distinctive art presented in the West in specialized qualitative exhibitions. It is considered a quantum leap for Egyptian exhibition halls to display aquarelle paintings in an exclusive watercolors exhibition.
He adds that the art of taking the shot and simultaneously and emotionally translating the watercolors on paper is considered delicate, fast, and deceptive. It is difficult to avoid errors, but once you master the craft, it is easy to control the material and turn it into wonderful works of art with one of the most beautiful textures ever.
The exhibition includes approximately 50 artworks of different sizes in watercolors within one theme, City Painting, which each artist will present in their own style. This artistic meal will be the nucleus of more and more exhibitions with this soft/ solid material.
The exhibition will continue until May 25 at Yassin Gallery in Zamalek.
