United Energy Egypt has successfully debuted the “Women in Influence” (WII) event on Wednesday, May 29th, in partnership with Carerha. This event marked the launch of the WII Network, tailored for women working in the energy sector and other male-dominated industries.
The network’s objectives are to connect female professionals in the energy industry, advance women’s leadership and skills, recognize women’s excellence and accomplishments at all career stages, and strive to minimize the gender gap to ensure equal opportunities, as reported by Egypt Oil & Gas website.
The “Women in Influence” event at United Energy Egypt represented a significant step in the company’s dedication to promoting gender equality and empowering women in the energy sector. The event included impactful discussions, compelling sessions, informative conversations, practical guidance, and inspiring narratives, emphasizing the significance of support, cooperation, and perseverance among female professionals.
A discussion panel titled “Mentoring and Initiatives: Empowering Women in the Energy Industry” showcased industry experts and keynote speakers from various male-dominated sectors. The panelists deliberated on the significance of diversity and inclusion in establishing a resilient oil and gas sector, the distinctive challenges women encounter in balancing work and personal life, and existing programs supporting women in the workplace.
The day wrapped up with an art therapy session, enabling participants to express their inner emotions through art.
