UN Resident Coordinator in Egypt, Elena Panova, highlighted the critical role of the National Council for Women (NCW) in advancing women’s empowerment and protection. She praised the ongoing and fruitful collaboration between the United Nations and the NCW through various projects and programs.
Her comments came during her visit to the National Council for Women, where she congratulated Amal Ammar on her appointment as NCW Chairperson. The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation with the UN on women’s empowerment initiatives.
Panova expressed her anticipation for increased collaboration in the future, reaffirming the UN’s commitment to maintaining its partnership with the NCW to implement its activities and programs.
In response, Amal Ammar, President of the NCW, expressed her sincere gratitude for the visit.
