Kuwait is ranked 18th out of 134 nations globally, and it is the fourth safest country in the Arab world this year, according to the most recent Global Finance rankings.
The Global Peace Index, personal security based on low crime rates, and the danger of natural catastrophes, including the possibility for pandemics, play a role in Global Finance’s assessment of the safest countries.
Iceland topped the list of safest nations in the world, followed by the UAE and Qatar. Singapore and Finland finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Mongolia, Norway, Denmark, Canada, and New Zealand were ranked sixth through tenth, respectively.
Saudi Arabia was ranked 19th among Arab countries, following only Kuwait. Morocco came in 24th place, with Oman coming in 25th. Jordan was rated 52nd, while Algeria was placed 61st. Egypt was ranked 65th, while Tunisia was ranked 93rd. Lebanon was rated 110th, and Yemen was placed 126th.
On the other hand, the Philippines ranks 134th on Global Finance’s list of safest countries, ahead of Colombia at 133rd, Guatemala at 132nd, Nigeria at 131st, and Bosnia and Herzegovina at 130th. Brazil was placed 129th, with Mexico at 128th and Peru at 127th. North Macedonia finished 125th, barely ahead of Yemen.
