The Top 50 Women Forum presented the CEO Gender Equality Award to QNB ALAHLI, in appreciation of the bank’s remarkable efforts in achieving gender equality and its strategy for empowering women economically and socially by providing all means of support to enhance their role in society.
The CEO of QNB Al Ahli, Mohamed Bedeir, received the award from the Founder and Chairwoman of the forum, Mrs. Dina Abdel Fattah. This award comes in recognition of the bank’s success in supporting and empowering women.
Over the past years, QNB has been keen to adopt a program that promotes gender equality and ensures diversity and inclusion within the bank, as the percentage of female representation in QNB ALAHLI amounts to 40% and varies between different job positions.
Moreover, the bank’s board of directors includes two women in its membership. Women represent a key factor in the strength, skill, and professionalism of the Bank, as they occupy many leadership positions in various departments and as heads of high-level sectors.
QNB ALAHLI also adapts several principles that facilitate the difficulties women usually face in their work to create a suitable environment for them to reach the highest levels of the career ladder based on equal opportunities.
Furthermore, QNB ALAHLI signed several agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union to benefit from their expertise in empowering women and enhancing their role in the business community.
Moreover, QNB ALAHLI recently prepared a plan and strategy based on various axes, aiming to support women and female entrepreneurs to increase financial empowerment at the State level, which confirms the bank is pursuing a policy to support the role of women in all fields.
Notably, the 2nd edition of the Women Professionals Summit, which took place last March, witnessed honoring many leaders of Egyptian companies with the “CEO Gender Equality Award”, in recognition of their significant role in transforming the business and professional environment towards a comprehensive leadership culture of gender equality.
