‘The Brink of Dreams’,directed by Nada Riyadh, is coming to Egyptian cinemas on November 6

Felucca Films revealed the official poster for “The Brink of Dreams,” directed by Nada Riyadh and Ayman El Amir. The film will be released in Egyptian cinemas on November 6.

The film follows a group of daring young ladies who decide to join a theater troupe and perform plays based on traditional Upper Egyptian mythology. The girls fill the streets of the small village with passion, excitement, singing, and dancing, all while aspiring to be big stars despite the obstacles they confront. The film gives a voice to Egypt’s new generation of youth, allowing them to express their future ambitions and hopes.

“The Brink of Dreams” demonstrates the Panorama Barsha Troupe’s distinctive skills. The troupe includes Magda Masoud, Haidi Sameh, Monika Youssef, Marina Samir, Myriam Nassar, Lydia Haroun, and Youstina Samir, the troupe’s creator. The film continues attracting worldwide audiences with its tragic story and compelling performances.

Additionally, the film has recently confirmed its participation in the 60th edition of the Chicago Film Festival, one of the longest-running and most famous festivals in the United States, which will take place in October.
This year, “The Brink of Dreams” made history as the first Egyptian film to win the prestigious L’Œil d’Or (Golden Eye Award) for Best Documentary Film at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
