Riot Games, a prominent global video game developer, has formed a strategic partnership with Gamers Lounge to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
This collaboration is anticipated to greatly improve the gaming and esports environment across Arab and African countries, providing culturally relevant content and events to an increasingly involved audience.
In this newly established partnership, Gamers Lounge has been selected as Riot Games’ creative division in the MEA region. The UAE-based company, recognized for its deep understanding of local gaming communities, will lead content creation, graphic design, and video production for Riot Games’ major titles, such as League of Legends, Valorant, and Wild Rift.
Since the partnership’s commencement, Gamers Lounge has been involved in several successful initiatives, including the introduction of the Middle East server for League of Legends—a highly anticipated development for players in the region—and a Ramadan campaign for Wild Rift that showcased the popular in-game character Poro in culturally significant settings.
“Our collaboration with Riot Games is more than just about creating content. It’s about ensuring that the gaming community in the MEA region feels acknowledged, heard, and appreciated,” said Hashem Elborno, COO of Gamers Lounge, to Egyptian Streets.
According to Egyptian Streets, being selected to collaborate with Riot Games is a noteworthy accomplishment, demonstrating our ongoing dedication to supporting and expanding the gaming community in the Middle East and Africa.” Founded in 2014, Gamers Lounge has emerged as a crucial participant in the MEA gaming and esports arena. With over ten years of experience, the company has nurtured the gaming community, even prior to Riot Games officially establishing its regional office.
As the driving force behind Riot Games’ campaigns, Gamers Lounge is responsible for various tasks, from creating still graphics and illustrations to producing video content and covering live events. The company’s work is not just about meeting global standards; it’s about tailoring content to resonate with the unique culture and language of the MEA region.
