As part of the Qodwa-Tech initiative to empower women, an online interactive session was held to introduce the training tracks and services offered within the initiative. The session aimed to empower women entrepreneurs and develop their digital skills. It was organized in collaboration with the general bureau of Beni Suef Governorate, the National Council for Women (NCW), and the Safe Women Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Beni Suef University.
According to the MCIT official website, the session was conducted within the impactful Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) framework between MCIT and the Beni Suef Governorate. The MoU is designed to enhance digital skills, foster competitiveness among citizens, and achieve sustainable community development goals in the governorate. This is accomplished by bolstering digital community development efforts and services provided to citizens, enhancing performance by leveraging tech tools across all development sectors, and preparing citizens for digital transformation.
The session covered Qodwa-Tech’s objectives and explained the stages and pillars of work, implementation mechanisms, and services provided, including training courses, awareness sessions, and free consultations tailored for women entrepreneurs. Additionally, the session highlighted the initiative’s role in equipping women and girls with digital marketing, e-commerce, visual content creation, and AI skills.
Moreover, the session provided information on the application and enrollment criteria in Qodwa-Tech. It emphasized the initiative’s training programs in social media marketing and e-commerce skills, as well as its pivotal role in fostering digital literacy, particularly in remote areas and rural villages, aligning with the Digital Egypt strategy.
It also emphasized the power of digital transformation and its role in empowering women by leveraging technological applications, resulting in increased sustainable job opportunities. Within the initiative’s framework, several qualified women entrepreneurs are selected to share knowledge and expertise with their peers in local communities to achieve sustainability and promote tech awareness, thus fostering the advancement of businesses and projects.
