The US-based Stanford University has recently released a list that represents the top 2% of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. The exhaustive list has 14 Egyptian atomic scientists.
Prof. Rehab was listed on the 2022 ‘Updated Science-wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators’ List, as she significantly proved a career-long success.
The selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in the sub-field. 195,605 scientists are included in the career-long database and 200,409 scientists are included in the single recent year dataset. The database is updated based on the Scopus data provided by Elsevier through ICSR Lab.
Prof. Rehab is a highly skilled and prolific nuclear materials scientist with an excellent experience in environmental and engineering research, development, and application in different radioactive waste management aspects.
Her professional experience extends to harnessing safety, performance, and risk assessment studies for waste management systems, particularly in the development and application of computer codes.
She also provides specialized training programs at the Atomic Energy Authority of Egypt in different areas related to the safe management of radioactive waste including planning for the radioactive waste management system, safety assessment of radioactive waste disposal facilities, regulation and legislation of radioactive and nuclear facilities, safety and security of radioactive sources, radioactive solid waste management, and disposal options. Prof. Rehab also took part in various projects on R&D in radioactive waste management.
