The Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi delivered a Speech at The Egyptian Women’s Day Celebration and announced new directions for empowering women during Thursday’s Egyptian Women’s and Mother’s Day commemoration ceremony, according to the “Stat Information Service” website.
Initially, his excellency saluted and expressed great appreciation for every Egyptian woman who demonstrates the paramount meanings of giving, patience, sacrifice, and struggle in various fields and arenas.
He highlighted the role of the Egyptian woman in elevating the Egyptian nation as a generous contributor and partner in her diverse roles.
In his speech, El-Sisi directed the government to do the following procedures to empower Egyptian women further:
1- Review and apply the principles of gender equality to ensure equal access to financial services without discrimination.
2—Expand the care economy, which is an open field for women’s employment, as it generates new job opportunities for them and allows them to achieve a balance between their productive and social roles.
3- Promote the digital economy as it represents an added value in the national economy and empowers women to engage in economic activities effectively.
4- Provide financing for women with minimal conditions and guarantees to establish small- and medium-sized enterprises and raise financial awareness of financial inclusion programs for women in rural and remote areas.
5- Expand transformative training programs to enhance women’s skills in industries in demand in the labor market and the domains of technology and digitization.
6- Introduce an aspect of enhancing ethical and social values in the national project for developing the Egyptian family to ensure a cohesive and effective society.
7- Assigning the government and the National Council for Women to establish “The Egyptian Women’s Museum” to preserve the heritage of Egyptian women and document the progress of women’s empowerment throughout the ancient and modern eras.
