Associate Professor of Art History at Fayoum University,
and Director of the Unit for combating violence against women
Dr. Nohair El Shoshany holds the office of Associate professor of art history, Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Specific Education, Fayoum University. After her graduation, she went on to get her master’s in art history from the Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University. Then, she has a successful academic career journey, being promoted to her current position. Accordingly, she received an incentive award for demonstrating academic excellence She has a strong passion for arts and women’s empowerment. Hence, she is a member of “L’association des Amis de l’Art” and the Egyptian Association for Educators &Talented Care. She also acts as the Director of the unit Combating Violence against Women in the Directorate of Manpower and Employment. She also contributed to the establishment of Fayoum University’s unit for combating violence against women, as well as coordinating all the relevant activities. She is a member of the National Council for Women branch in Fayoum, as she has been an active participant in all the council’s campaigns and events since 2011. She also had significant contributions to empowering children with disabilities and promoting school education through her participation in various community development initiatives.
