Strategic/Emerging Channels and Regional Sales Manager – Unilever Mashreq

Mennat Sharkas’ journey started as Accounting Instructor in the Faculty of Commerce, English Department in 1997. She then joined Unilever Mashreq as Finance Management Trainee in 1999, where she implemented the company’s main reporting system “Abacus” in 2000.
Sharkas went brave and shifted her career from Finance to Customer Development in 2003, and shortly afterwards became Customer Marketing Manager for Hair, a position she assumed for two years. From 2005 till 2007, she was Trade Marketing Manager for hair and oral.
She was selected for regional corporate audit team (AAC–CD) as an Audit Manager from 2007 till 2010, where she visited more than 30 countries in 3 years. Sharkas was then promoted to Modern Trade Manager – Mashreq from 2010 till 2014, before assuming her current role as Regional Sales Manager.
She has over 18 years of experience in General Management, Sales, Business Development, and Financial Management. She holds robust Customer Management, Shopper Understanding, Distributor Management, and Business Understanding of more than twenty-five markets in Asia, Africa, and Europe, with deep knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa region.
Moreover, Sharkas has been chosen as “High Performer” across all the seven jobs handled by her in the sixteen years of experience within Unilever.
