Marianne Hesni

Marianne Hesni is a leading figure in the textile industry in Egypt. She is the CEO of Hesni Textiles, a textile family business established by her grandfather over a century ago. The business has become one of the largest private sector textile companies in Egypt specializing in dyeing, finishing and printing of various fabrics.
Marianne has been an active board member of several initiatives focusing on the development of the business environment in Egypt, including CIIC, a leading Egyptian Private Equity, and Endeavor Egypt, where she was also a mentor.

Marianne is currently a board member of 138 Pyramids, an initiative to grow Egyptian SMEs and of ADVANCE, an NGO that supports children with special needs which she co-founded in 1997.
Marianne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the American University in Cairo and an MBA from University of Chicago (Chicago Booth).
