About Me

Dr. Maggie Nassif is a Fulbright alumna who came as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in 2012 and spent a semester conducting research in Cairo.  Dr. Nassif has extensive work experience in the U.S. and the MENA region countries such as Egypt, Morocco, Jordan and the UAE.  She studied business at the Wharton School of Business and ASU where she completed her MBA in 2005. In addition, she has a PhD in literature and post-colonial theory.  She has held Wharton school of Business/Lauder Institute, Administrative Director of the National Middle East Language Research Center and ESL Coordinator at the State University of New York.  She taught literature, women’s studies, writing, translation, ESL and business culture at the University of Pennsylvania, Penn State, Drexel University, SUNY-Geneseo, the University of Rochester, the Rochester Institute of Technology, Monroe Community College, the College of Notre Dame, Cairo University and the American University in Cairo. Maggie’s main research interests are cultural studies, women’s issues, material culture, pop culture, and business culture in the Middle East.  Prior to joining the Commission, she was involved in numerous studies and projects to aid American students with job preparedness skills for the global market through online instruction, experiential learning and internships.
