About Me

Amany Shams Eldin has been Sub-Governor for Banking Operations at the Central Bank of Egypt since 2016. She began her career by working in Bank of America after graduation from the Faculty of Commerce at the Ain-Shams University.
At Bank of America, Shams Eldin served several positions for 14 years until she became Senior Manager for Banking Operations, enabling her to lead a group assigned to introduce the SWIFT system to the Egyptian banking sector.
Since 1994, Shams Eldin had been working in several Egyptian banks such as BNP Paribas Egypt, the United Egyptian Bank (currently the United Bank), and Bank Audi.
Shams Eldin participated in the restructuring and automation of two banks operating in Egypt.
