Fund raising director, Misr El Kheir Foundation Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Federation of Intellectual Disabilities Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Federation of Intellectual Disabilities Member of the International Sports Federation of Intellectual Disabilities (INAS) Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee of the National Council for Disability (previously). Amal was born in 1967 in Ismailia Governorate and was awarded the title of ideal student for 3 consecutive years in the secondary stage. She has many active participations in many sports such as being a member of Egypt’s swimming team and a member of the national basketball team. Amal graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Civil Engineering department in 1989. She has also received many studies in the fields of education, psychology, business administration. She masters more than three languages. She started her career with 28 years of work in Ismailia. She is a volunteer in several NGOs working to sponsor different groups of the community (orphans, handicapped, street children, school children). She started her career as a civil engineer at Suez Canal Company and worked as an engineer at Al Banna Design Group. She held many positions, such as facilities Manager at the Egyptian Banking Institute. She spent more than 13 years in Denmark and during her stay with her husband and her children in Denmark, led by the donations campaign from Egyptians and Arabs residing there to set up 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital. She is also an active member of the Association of Zakat and Sacrifice of Egyptians Abroad and her employment to serve the children of Egypt. In addition, she has played a vital role in leading a campaign to improve the image of Islam And touch Maine through Danish newspapers and e-mail and Facebook and corruption during the abusive campaign against the Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. Amal is considered as one of Baheya’s (the first breast cancer hospital in Egypt) ambassadors, with her active role in collecting donations and supporting the patients and boosting their spirits. She was the National Director for Special Olympics Egypt for 3 years, from 2011-2014, which was terminated by the celebration of the “ 8 th Regional Games” attended by his excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Amal is the first president of the Egyptian Federation of Intellectual Disabilities since it initiated in 2014. During her presidency for the first time in the world, she implemented the disability classification system two years ago, which was adopted by the International Federation and will be implemented this year. She is also the first Egyptian to receive the position of Governing Board Member of the International Federation of Intellectual Disabilities (INAS) in the elections held in Australia in 2017. Amal was honored to be the first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Federation of Intellectual Disabilities during the board meeting to establish the first African Federation of Intellectual Disabilities that was attended by the representative of International Sports Federation of Intellectual Disabilities (INAS) in 14 th of December 2018. The Egyptian Federation of Intellectual Disabilities under Amal’s supervision celebrated the international day of persons with disabilities “we are able with differences” with the cooperation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports that was sponsored and attended by his excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, held at Elmanara conference center in 24 th of December 2018, the event had a great social impact and was the second highest mostly viewed on the youtube. Amal is the Fundraising director at Misr El Kheir Foundation, one of her major success stories was increasing MEK donations to 1,000,000,000 EGP in two years. Misr El Kheir Foundation (MEK) is a non-profit development institution established in 2007 with the objective of developing the Egyptian individual in a comprehensive manner. Five key areas have been selected for human development namely: Health, Education, Scientific Research, Social Solidarity and Aspects of Life.
