On May 6th, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, participated in the launch ceremony of the Arabic version of the book “Banat Al Nile” at the headquarters of the National Council for Women in the presence of Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the Council, and writer Samia Iskandar, the author and editor of the book’s idea, and a crowd of inspiring Egyptian women.
The minister expressed her happiness to be among this distinguished group of women, besides being chosen as one of the “Daughters of the Nile” ladies; the book acts as a brand-new experience in documenting the professional achievements of about thirty-eight Egyptian women.
She shared her hopes that this book will initiate a series of books featuring inspiring Egyptian women, noting that the book focuses on presenting positive female role models for new generations in Egypt and abroad.
Al-Saeed added that “Daughters of the Nile” has two main advantages, changing the prevailing stereotype about Egyptian women and highlighting successful models and models, which helps create aware generations capable of being leaders in the future.
