Culture Minister Nivine Kilani credited the participation of small publishing houses from various countries in the Cairo International Book Fair as a main contributor to the huge turnout of this year’s visitors and publishers.
Furthermore, she praised the decision to offer low rent prices for participation in the fair in light of the critical economic conditions.
In her statements to the Sada El Balad satellite channel on Sunday, Kilany termed the measure positive as it presented opportunities for many small publishing houses to participate in the annual event.
She also expressed her pride in the wide Arab participation in the fair, especially from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and the UAE.
