The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is launching a new audio guide service in the “Royal Mummies” hall, where guided tours were previously prohibited.

According to Cairo Scene, the service will provide an immersive experience with historical and archaeological insights into these royal figures’ lives, achievements, and contributions to ancient Egyptian history.

Starting Wednesday, July 10th, the service will begin offering detailed historical explanations through headsets in Arabic and English.

This initiative is part of the museum’s ongoing efforts to improve service quality and enhance visitor experiences in alignment with Egypt’s latest national tourism strategy.

Additionally, the museum has recently introduced a guided tour booking service, allowing visitors to book guided tours of the central hall and the Egyptian textile halls in Arabic and English throughout the week via the museum’s official website.

Visitors can rent an audio guide from the museum’s reception when purchasing their entry ticket.
