The National Council for Women implemented the activities of the third workshop on the “Civil Service Law and Laws Related to Public Jobs in the State,” in cooperation with the Spanish Agency, to enhance ways of cooperation between the Council and partner agencies within the framework of the national referral system.
The workshop targeted representatives of various sectors from the Ministries of Higher Education and Education, governorate directorate officials, and Ain Shams and Helwan Universities over the course of two days.
The workshop took place in the presence of Counselor Nasser Reda Abdel Qader, Vice President of the State Council and Head of the Fatwa Department at the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, and Counselor Dr. Abdel Fattah Bayoumi Hegazy, Vice President of the State Council and President of the Administrative Judicial Court.
The workshop discussed many topics, including reviewing the concept of an administrative decision, issuing cancellation and reappointment to public office, appointment to leadership positions, supervisory management positions, job relationship, job contracting and performance evaluation, promotion & secondment, replacements in public jobs, wages, bonuses, leaves, working hours, and behavior, career, discipline, termination of service, and violent crimes that occur in the workplace.
In her speech, Walaa Salim, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at the Council’s Women’s Complaints Office, referred to the Council’s role in supporting and empowering women and reviewed the competencies of the Women’s Complaints Office and the mechanism for providing its services.
