Egyptian expert Marwa Saudi, specializing in artificial intelligence, education, and entrepreneurship, was honored with the 2024 Women’s Business Innovation Award in Berlin in May 2024. The accolade was presented by the First Lady of Germany, under the auspices of the Women in Business Network (WiB), the most extensive business women’s network in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Marwa is a distinguished engineer and an authority in the fields of artificial intelligence and educational technology in Africa. She is the visionary behind IdeasGym, an e-learning platform dedicated to leveraging innovative methodologies for nurturing STEM competencies among young learners. This platform specializes in providing STEM education to students aged 8 to 18, as well as their educators, in Arabic. The range of courses offered includes robotics, programming, mobile app development, electronics, Arduino, and the Internet of Things.

IdeasGym has achieved significant success; their program “Training Lego Robots Online Using Virtual Reality” secured second place in the DigiEduHackEspoo Challenge organized by the UN Innovation Laboratories in Espoo, Finland.”
In previous instances, Marwa was honored with first place in the SME category for her contributions to IdeasGym at the Women’s ICT Awards, hosted by UNDP and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Additionally, she reached the finals at Miss Digital Africa 2019 and was recognized as the entrepreneur of the Tony Elumelu Foundation for 2018.
