Lubna Abdel Aziz, Honorary President of the Arab Film Festival

Prolific Egyptian actress, Lubna Abdel aziz agreed to be the honorary president of the Arab Film Festival held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Preparations are underway to launch its first session.

Lubna Abdel Aziz, who is considered one of the most prominent stars of Egyptian cinema in her golden age, presented a number of significant suggestions that the festival management decided to take advantage of in the activities of its next session.

Ayman al-Hakim, the festival’s president, said that “Arab cinema” is not just a festival, but rather an integrated cultural project. The festival’s events and activities vary; they also extend throughout the year, not only within its first session duration.

The Arab Film Festival based in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, and is organized by the “Ibdaa” or “Creativity” Foundation for Culture and Arts, headed by Director of Cinematography, Samir Farag, and sponsored by various Arab artistic, cultural, and political bodies, in addition to film critic Ahmed Saad El-Din as artistic director, director Sami Mohamed Ali as administrative director, accountant Fahmy Fouad as treasurer, and Rania El-Shamy for relations and media.
