Gold prices in local markets gleamed on Tuesday, experiencing a rise of approximately 15 Egyptian pounds per gram across various karatages. This upward trend was reported by Engineer Saeed Embabi, Executive Director of the “iSagha” platform, a trusted source for gold market information in Egypt.
The price of a gram of 21-karat gold, a popular choice for jewelry, reached 3,175 Egyptian pounds. The price of an ounce of gold on the international market also saw a modest increase of $5, reaching $2,337.
The closing prices for different gold purities on Tuesday are as follows:
- 24 karat: 3,629 Egyptian pounds per gram
- 21 karat: 3,175 Egyptian pounds per gram
- 18 karat: 2,721 Egyptian pounds per gram
- 14 karat: 2,114 Egyptian pounds per gram
- Gold pound: 25,400 Egyptian pounds
