Forbes Middle East magazine has selected businesswoman Dalia Khorshid, CEO and Managing Director of Beltone Holding, as one of the Middle East’s Top CEOs 2024. She is the only Egyptian woman on the list.
Forbes magazine revealed the reasons for choosing Dr. Dalia Khorshid on the list due to her success since assuming the leadership of Beltone Holding Company in 2022 in expanding its operations through new business lines and investments such as Beltone Capital’s agricultural business investment platform, NEPIT, and Beltone Venture Capital.
Forbes highlighted Khorshid’s success in doubling Beltone Holding’s revenues and assets in a short period, as the company’s operating revenues increased by 812% to reach $27.7 million, and assets under management increased by 56% to $612.5 million during the first quarter of 2024.
Dalia Khorshid previously served as Egypt’s Minister of Investment and previously founded and chaired Masar Financial Consulting and Eagle Capital for Financial Investments, as well as previously serving as Chairwoman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
The list of the most powerful CEOs in the Middle East includes 100 business leaders from 19 different nationalities. Emiratis topped the list with 27 CEOs, followed by Egyptians with 21 leaders, and then Saudis with 14 CEOs, together making up 62% of the total ranking.
The banking sector dominates the list with 19 leaders, followed by the real estate sector with 10 leaders.
These leaders were chosen based on the CEO’s influence on the region, the country in which he works, the markets he supervises, the CEO’s experience in his current position, in addition to his general experience, the size of the company in terms of revenues, assets, and market value, and the CEO’s achievements and performance in the past year.
Dalia Khorshid has a career full of achievements that she accomplished during her work in major companies and economic entities in Egypt, which operate in the banking and non-banking financial services and contracting sectors. The experiences that Khorshid gained from working in various economic sectors were reflected in the leadership of Beltone Holding Company.
It is worth noting that Dalia Khorshid is the only Egyptian woman on the Forbes list of the most powerful CEOs in the Middle East for 2024, which includes 21 women of different nationalities.
