FIF Chief Praises Egypt, Affirms its Status as “Mother of World”

On Sunday, the President of the Foundation of Islam of France (FIF), Ghaleb Bencheikh, described, in his own words, Egypt as the mother of the world in every sense of the word.

Bencheikh said, during his Meeting with journalists in Cairo, that he visited Al Azhar to explore new ways of boosting cooperation.

The President of FIF stated that FIF focuses on the cultural, educational, and humanitarian aspects besides providing scholarships for students in Islamic studies.

Bencheikh expressed: We want the great Islamic civilization not to be reduced to marginal issues because the cultural dimension of Islamic civilization is important in Europe and France.

He added: The Foundation introduces Islamic civilization to Muslim and non-Muslim youth.
