On Wednesday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi had talks with the CEO of Apache, John J. Christmann, who chairs the US Egypt Business Council, his deputies, and in the presence of Petroleum Minister Tareq el Molla.
The meeting took up Apache’s activities in Egypt, programs the company is currently working on, and future plans to increase explorations of oil and gas in Egypt in the coming stage.
Their talks further tackled means of boosting economic cooperation between Cairo and Washington, as well as the strategic partnership between them.
After that, El-Sisi proceeded to appreciate success stories by the American Apache Corporation over 30 years of operation in Egypt and affirmed that Egypt is keen on creating a suitable climate to attract and increase investments in all sectors, particularly oil and gas.
