The National Council for Women, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, organized a comprehensive workshop to foster closer cooperation between the two entities and expedite the achievement of the goals outlined in the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030.
The workshop seeks to assess the progress made in implementing the national strategy for empowering Egyptian women, identify the challenges hindering the attainment of gender equality in the labor market, develop joint action plans between the Council and the Ministry to bolster the participation of women in the labor market, create suitable job opportunities for them, provide training and economic empowerment, and conduct training programs for the staff of equal opportunity units in different ministries to enable them to implement programs and policies that promote gender equality.
This workshop marks a significant stride toward achieving gender equality in the Egyptian labor market, enhancing the role of women in economic development, and underscoring the shared commitment between the Council and the Ministry to execute the national strategy for empowering Egyptian women.
