On Sunday, May 19th, Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, took part in the official opening activities of the second session of the International “Empower Her Art” Forum (EHAF) at the headquarters of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat.
Gendi asserted that the new republic represents a golden era for Egyptian women who assume unprecedented positions. She underscored that Egypt is the first country in the world to launch a strategy for empowering women. The minister also praised the forum for highlighting the role of the Egyptian state in supporting and empowering women.
Dr. Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity; Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization; Christian Berger, Head of the European Union Diplomatic Mission in Cairo; several foreign ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, government agencies, civil society institutions, public figures, media figures, and journalists attended the forum.
The second edition of the forum was a testament to its growing influence, with over 100 artists from 40 countries, including 12 countries, participating. This significant artist participation underscored the forum’s impact and its role in fostering international collaboration and empowerment through art.
