The Ministry of Health and Population announced that Assistant Health Minister for Public Health Projects and Initiatives Mohamed Hassani has won membership in the African Medicines Agency (AMA).
The announcement came during the three-day activities of the 3rd exceptional conference for the parties to the AMA Treaty, which was held in Addis Ababa.
The Health Ministry’s spokesman, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, said that representatives of 30 African countries attended the inaugural session.
Hassani represents Sahel & Sahara Gathering, which includes 23 Arab and African countries, Abdel Ghaffar said.
Egypt’s victory in securing membership in the African Medicines Agency is a testament to its leadership in the African pharmaceutical industry and its commitment to the swift development of the country’s medicine monitoring system.
